There are fourteen more days left in the year and where do you stand? Are there any unfulfilled, uncompleted or unchanged areas in your life? Let me challenge you. Take the next fourteen days and make things happen. Don't bring junk into your life in 2008 by creating an atmosphere of change in 2007.
I am determined to not add to the list when I know that I have junk that is pending in my life. When I was a child, my grandmother used to spend the last few weeks out of the year cleaning the house from top to bottom. Naturally, this was the most torturous time of the year for me because I hated to clean to that level and still do. I thought that she was out of her mind and didn't quite understand why all the laundry had to be done, papers thrown away or even why she mopped the garage. As a woman, some of this now makes sense to me...with the exception of the garage bit. However, I now understand that my wise grandmother diligently purged her environment to get a fresh start. What junk is in your life both physical and mental that you need to address for your fresh start?
Therefore, I challenge you. Take the rest of the year to just get it together. Start off the year with knowing where you stand financially, emotionally and physically. Don't wait for the commercials to tell you that it's time for you to go to gym. Go now...walk now. Clean out your closets and give clothes to the less fortunate. Shred old papers and get your files in order. When 2008 roles around, you won't find yourself making resolutions, because resolve will already be in your spirit.
For 2008, be deliberate and purposeful. Clean out the clutter and busyness in your life so that you can be available for new things to take place without feeling like you are piling it on.
Take the 14 day challenge and I look forward to hearing about your successes, challenges and accomplishments!
Be Blessed!
